Sleep and recovery

When trying to sleep is exactly what keeps you awake.

Trouble falling asleep, waking during the night, a mind that starts racing again or anxiety around bedtime: hypnosis can help change the automatic patterns that keep your system alert.

Sessions are currently offered in French only.

Understand what is happening

You know how to sleep. Your alarm system just does not always get the message.

Sleep is a natural process. But once bedtime becomes a test, the brain can learn to monitor the clock, physical sensations and the risk of another bad night. The harder you try to make sleep happen, the more that attention can keep you awake.

01

Your mind will not shut off

The day keeps running through your head even though your body is ready to slow down.

02

You monitor your sleep

You check the time, your level of fatigue or how many hours remain before morning.

03

One awakening sets everything off again

Sometimes a single thought is enough to switch the alarm system back on.

04

Bedtime has become a struggle

Going to bed feels less like a chance to rest and more like a test you have to pass.

Benjamin, I truly wanted to thank you for today’s session. I arrived carrying a heavy mental load and a great deal of stress, and I already feel lighter, calmer and more hopeful. The way you listen, your kindness and your professionalism immediately create a sense of trust. You can feel how deeply committed you are to the people you work with, and that makes all the difference. Thank you for this valuable moment and for the care you bring to your work. I look forward to seeing the positive effects take hold over the coming days.

It is amazing how much better I am sleeping. My children even noticed that I was much calmer, even though I had not told them anything.

The mechanisms

Why sleep can remain difficult even when you are exhausted.

The issue is not always a lack of fatigue. Anticipation, monitoring and learned associations can keep your system on alert at exactly the wrong time.

A person awake at night checking the time, illustrating anxiety about another bad night

Anticipating another bad night

Thinking about the consequences of poor sleep prepares the brain to stay vigilant instead of letting go.

A person awake in a quiet bedroom, illustrating waking during the night

Treating an awakening as a warning signal

A normal awakening can trigger clock-watching, mental calculations or worry that keeps you awake longer.

A calm bedroom and bedtime routine, illustrating a more natural association with rest

Associating bed with effort

After enough nights spent trying to sleep, bedtime can automatically trigger tension, control and heightened attention.

A different way to understand it

What sleep deprivation really changes.

This video explains some of the effects of poor sleep and why getting back to a more natural ability to rest matters—without turning every difficult night into one more reason to worry.

What hypnosis can help you work on

Make it easier to come down from high alert.

The goal is not to command yourself to sleep. It is to reduce the automatic patterns that keep attention, tension or anticipation active when your body should be winding down.

1

Quiet the mental loops

Change the way a thought captures your attention at bedtime or after waking during the night.

2

Reduce anticipation

Give less power to the expectation of a bad night and its imagined consequences.

3

Respond differently to nighttime awakenings

Keep a normal awakening from automatically triggering calculations, monitoring and tension.

4

Rebuild cues for rest

Help bedtime and the bedroom become cues for winding down again instead of trying harder.

What happens

What a hypnosis session focused on sleep looks like.

A session generally lasts 60 to 90 minutes. We start with what actually happens during your nights, your routines and the responses that switch on automatically.

1

Understand your nights

We identify the key moments, thoughts, physical reactions and habits that keep you awake.

2

Work on the automatic response

The hypnosis work uses your own words to change the association between bedtime, waking and high alert.

3

Let sleep return

The goal is not to demand a result at a precise time. It is to develop a more flexible response so sleep can happen naturally.

Locations and online sessions

Choose a setting where you can be genuinely undisturbed.

The session can take place at one of my offices or online, from France or elsewhere, as long as you have a quiet space, a stable connection and no risk of interruption.

Common questions

What people often ask before a session about sleep.

These answers provide general guidance. Persistent, new or severe sleep problems should also be evaluated by an appropriate healthcare professional.

Can hypnosis help me sleep better?

Hypnosis can help you work on automatic patterns that keep you awake, such as overthinking, anticipation or monitoring your sleep. It does not force sleep and cannot guarantee the same result for everyone.

How many sessions should I expect?

Most of the time, one session is enough to work on the main issue. Two or three may sometimes be useful depending on your needs, how long the problem has been going on or how many related concerns are involved.

Can everyone be hypnotized?

Most people can experience hypnosis because it builds on a natural state of focused attention. The experience varies, and the session is adapted to the way you focus and respond.

Can I do the session online?

Yes. For sleep concerns, an online session is appropriate when you have a quiet place, a stable connection and no risk of being interrupted.

Will I stay in control during hypnosis?

Yes. You remain present, hear what is happening and can speak or move whenever you need to.

Does hypnosis replace medical advice?

No. Hypnosis does not replace diagnosis, treatment or medical care. Speak with your doctor if sleep problems persist, if sleep apnea is suspected, if you have significant daytime sleepiness or if your sleep changes suddenly.

You do not have to wait until you are even more exhausted.

Booking a session is a first step toward changing the patterns that currently turn bedtime or nighttime awakenings into periods of high alert.
